“Don't doubt yourself for having all the good intentions others can never have, make yourself your first and last priority .”
― The cosmic time
Sometimes I find myself at places where I am forced to think that I am not good enough for a certain thing and I am 100% sure that almost every human being on this planet has gone through that very same feeling you are facing right now.
but the difference is some think they are not beautiful enough, some think they are not happy enough, some think they are not tall enough, concluding them together we can say no one has ever told themselves that they are good enough for anything at the very beginning.
The reason is we compare ourselves with others too much and too often as we believe that the life of the other person is perfect in every aspect we can imagine. but the truth is very distasteful because the person whose shoes you desperately want to try might be facing much bigger problems than you have ever seen, maybe he/she is sadder or lonelier than you but amazingly good at hiding.
I can say every one of us at some point in our life has thought that we don't deserve to be loved or we don't deserve anything as we are total failure worthless in every aspect. we blame ourselves for everything thinking it will somehow make the situation better but this goes on forever without making us exhibit that something is wrong with the way we are dealing with the most beautiful creation of god us.
It hurts when people insult us or treats us in a wrong way but we do not even care how much we hurt and humiliate ourselves every single day even for a tiny mistake. I don't know how we can allow our inner critic to tear apart our self-esteem at a level where we no longer want to look at ourselves in the mirror.
In the beginning, I thought I am the only one who feels this way about myself. later I got to know this number is so large that I finally decided to write something about it.
The problem of doubting self is a result of programming for thousands of years in our brains which shaped our culture and given us the framework of how we should function in accordance with society. that's the reason we question our capabilities when we fail at something whether it's someone rejecting us or failure in our career we blame ourselves for not having enough.
Sometimes Under pressure, I feel like forgetting how amazing, unique, and kinda person I am with countless positive qualities. life is all about how you carry these negative burdens without getting affected, living every second of your life consciously helping others to feel good about themselves.
Lately, I tried so hard to get over these self-deprecating thoughts which come and go again and again just human things I guess.
So here are the 7 things to remember which helped me a lot in my self-loving process leaving all the depression and anxiety behind. hope this works for you too.
1. Stop comparing yourself with anyone, you are unique in your own way.
You have to expect it from your heart that you are as amazing and beautiful as anyone else on the planet.
by comparing yourself with others you are lowering your own worth because the person you are comparing with might be comparing himself with someone else. and this process goes on forever.
2. You have to tell yourself your worth is more than anything else in this entire world.
you have to repeat some positive phrases every day in your mind in order to make yourself believe that you are good enough for everything. like you are kind, good, handsome, creative, etc.
this benefits in a very positive way as researches have shown a significant impression on people who tried this method.
3. Meditation is the key.
Meditation is something that makes us able to find our true purpose in life.
it improves our consciousness to another level as it trains our brain to be in peace every time.
Just close your eyes in the morning and ask yourself why you are doing what you are doing. What's the true purpose of your existence and you will get the answer to everything you desire. you have to know yourself completely before realizing that you are enough for this entire world to thrive.
4. Write when you think you are not good enough.
It's a very effective way to analyze whats the root cause of the problem and how to find its solution without taking many loads. writing what's wrong will definitely allow you to know more about your inner self and will boost your confidence. just be positive and change the world.
5. Ask yourself how much time you are left with
you might be in your 20s while you are reading this post so you have to think how your life will be in the 20-30 years and you very well know that time flies like a rocket.
so you decide what's ideal for you wasting your life thinking you are not enough or living every second of your life left to the fullest doing things you love with people you love experiencing life with a whole new dimension. so that when you are on your death bed you can tell yourself happily that life was good and I played my part amazingly.
6. Interact with nature.
Have you ever felt how the drops of rain feel when it touches our body, how the cold brizes of wind feel like in places full of trees and flowers, birds chirping in a park, the sound of a river flowing through a forest because that's how life feels like? It has been proven by research that the best way to fight depression and anxiety is to watch nature consciously.
7. Be kind and helpful.
Help your friends, family, and everyone around you who is suffering from depression and other problems. this will give you a sense of happiness and make you feel better about yourself.
In the end, you have to accept yourself the way you are regardless of your failures, how you look, how rich or poor you are and all the other problems you think you are dealing with because these things don't define your worth neither people talking ill about you. distance yourself from negativity and you will thrive like never before.
